Stabilizing a single trait vs. Stabilizing multiple traits

  1. I was reading this article in interest of how to stabilize traits for s true breeding strain. But it only focusses on stabilizing a single trait through a series of backcrosses.

My question is what would you do to stabilize multiple traits? I was listening to a podcast and somebody mentioned that the best way to stabilize multiple traits is to continue to breed progeny - brother sister - with each other.

Theoretically if someone wanted to he incredibly thorough, could they do the cubing process to stabilize one trait with a particular male, then perform another series of backcrosses with a male expressing a different desired trait?
