I successfully germinated 7 seeds and they seem to be going well, I'm wondering about watering, what should I use as a general rule of thumb for watering them? I have a little sprayer that I use but I think I might be watering them too much. Should I just give them a good spray every day? I find myself spraying them 2-3 times a day. Also I'm wondering about lights, I thought that leaving them on my desk would give them enough light (my desk is surrounded by windows so it gets a good amount of light) but I think I'm going to leave them outside during the day so they can get more light. Should I just invest in some lights for the next week or two before I transplant them outside? Or should I just leave them out during the day and bring them in at night?
you are watering them too much. What you want to do it water it with the spray bottle untill you get a bit of run off (not a lot) and then you will know your soil is moist but not saturated. After that only water every 3 days or so at the most, or when the soil is completely dry (dirt dry)
Alright thanks, one of them got a little droopy and I guess it's overwatering. What do you think about the lighting?
To be safe it would be wise to pick up at least 100 actual watts of cfl because you wont need much to get them strong enough to survive outside. You could put them strait outside but the latter would be the better choice.
