Sprouting Complications

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by H0PHEAD, Oct 5, 2010.

  1. I let the root grow a bit too long say 3 inches give or take. Anyhow i sowed it 2 days ago and now it has sprouted but the casing is still attached to the sproutling[?]. I have germinated a few times and it has sprouted a few times but always has the sprout casing stuck to it and it always stretches. It has never happned to me before.

To prevent my plants from stretching should i put it under light? I mean i dont see why i should because the leaves dont even show because of the seed case still stuck to it.

I pulled off the casing once but it was quite unwise.

    what should I do?

  2. Leave it be... It'll come off...

  4. Yes, treat it like it didn't still have the shell on... the warmth from the light will help dry the shell, which will help it pop off. After a bit, you can check and see if a membrane is still holding on somewhere after the pod leaves start forcing themselves out... It'll probably end up stuck to one of the pod leaves, it's safe to gently pull it off at that point.
