Anyone have any experience with the CFLs that are supposed to help control odors? I've read a couple reviews saying they work great so I bougth a couple. Any real experience would be much appreciated. Thanks!

i have no idea and am 100% not educated on those, but i would say in my wild guess....probably not. Plants stink alot, and i cant see how those dingy little things are going to prevent that without some type of air-filter.
I have heard a couple of reports from people who have tried them. Both said they help a little bit, but for them to be really effective you would need dozens of them. And that's just not practical. A small carbon filter would be more helpful.
