Hey everyone, my buddy turned me onto a program called "Spotify". for those who haven't used it yet, its basically a music service you can use for free or pay for a subscription. The interesting thing is you search your own music, as opposed to pandora or last.fm, which use music genome technology to pick your music for you. This is a huge plus, the other huge plus is that facebook will show your friends what you are listening to and you can send them a message suggesting some tunes. The downside is sometimes they dont have music you really want to hear (shook ones part 1 ) however this is truly rare. Give it a try and let me know what you think, PEACE!
Spotify is terrible, and so is Facebook. I'll stick with Grooveshark as my internet music source, otherwise its FLAC > foobar2000
I thought the idea was useful and cool, but i see where your coming from. Whats grooveshark? ive heard the name but never looked into it.
I mean the integration is a nice feature if you use Facebook, but I just can't stand the ads. Try Grooveshark man. It has a random radio, which isn't very good but has a lot of good artists, and it's just like Spotify in which you can choose your songs and replay them rewind and all that, but completely Ad free.
Im using it right now, I really like how you dont need to download anything or even sign up. Whats it streaming at? you sure its FLAC? if so then ill definitely be using groove over spotify lol
Oh no, it's not FLAC. I was just saying that when I'm not listening to internet radio, all I listen to is FLAC. Grooveshark is a really nice music site man. Like I said, the radio needs some work, but you find a lot of good shit you would have probably never listened to before.
