Split stalk

  1. Split one of my girls at the first main croch, help please. I tied her together and applied rooting gel to the outside of the wound. Any suggestions, if any; on possible feel good potions for the feed schedule?

  2. Immediately wash off the cloning gel...the purpose of this gel is to prevent the plant from HEALING ITSELF, therefore allowing water & nutrient uptake aswell as roots to grow

once dry........ bind the split branches together with electrical tape.........great for applying tension & easy to remove

edit: No worries, the plant will be fine

  3. Thank you very much:smoking:

  4. try this again, first one was out of the frames[IMG]

  5. Pic of the one with the split stalk. No real signs of stress other than what magnesium def was already present before I split her. I am seeing mag def right?

The leaf right in the middle of the frame is as it appears. Half of it is lime green the other half is darker green. Thats not the lighting doing that.

  6. 4:21oops,

i had the problem with the main stem splitting on several of my plants when i was LST'ing and i just used some twine and held it together. It recovered very nicely.

    good luck

cant see your pix to tell you if its mag def or not

  8. could be a slight mag def... the plant looks good otherwise...

looks like a slight nute burn on the tips also.

if you are super concerned give it a light dose of calmag

  9. looks like it will survive fine.

I dont believe thats a mag def, and the tips arent nute burn as suggested by Booya the tips are showing Calcium def.
I see other nute defs, you need to check the soil runoff PH to be certain nothing is locked out, if the PH is fine they need a good feeding of a general purpose ferts........EG NPK or 10-10-10

  10. My thoughts exactly, I'm looking into nute loclout. I applied 1tsp per gallon of epsom salts two days ago and no change yet. Pretty pronounced cupping of smaller leaves and of course the tip browninging and just really inconsistent color in the leaves in general. Thanks for the overview and I will post follow up pic when I see some change. How long does usually to turn around nute lockout in a aero/hydro system?

  11. I dont do hydro, but in soil within 2-3 days

hydro is faster, maybe look for changes within 24 hrs? , darkening green will be your first sign.

  12. Thats what I am thinking, most of the leaves that are on there now have terrible branching on the underside of the leaf. Usually in healthy plants you'll have a vein going up the middle of the leaf then branching coming off of those then another branch from them. Mine have the main vein then one branching. If you magnify the page you can see what I mean in my pics. So with that in mind it may be a while to turn things around. I'll start watching the young new growth leaves to see when it starts to noticeable.
