Anyone ever heard of this method. From what I understood and read, you place 4 spikes on the outskirts of the pot/hole and fill it (not sure if you put a hollow spike in or just make 4 vertical holes) with hot soil (meals, manures, guanos). So the micro herd colonize the spikes before the plants' roots and they deliver these slow release ferts to the plant in good time. Some guys swear by this but I don't really get the idea. Any thoughts on this?
