i have a 5 minute speech for my speech 1000 class and ive decided to do it on the debunking of myths and facts of mj. does anybody have any good detailed sources for information? im looking for credible websites and if anyone has sources in print that would be great too
I did my seinor research paper on that last year- wrote 8 pages so I know alot of good facts. Here's some good facts to look up that most people don't know much about: -Marijuana does not affect the dopamine system like such drugs as: alcohol, nicotine, caffiene, and opiates but rather effects the hippocampus -The study of Roberto Guzman and the effect that marijuana significantly slowed down reproduction of cancer cells in malignant tumors in a bunch of cancers, brain tumors, and leukimia. -Humans have natural THC receptors in the brain so pose the question- Why would humans have receptors in the brain if we weren't supposed to use it. -Marijuana prevents altherscolerosis- the number 1 cause of heart disease and stroke -Marijuana does not cause cancer as found out by a study from the UCLA and then state the fact how it significantly lowers reproduction of cancer cells -The study proving marijuana doesn't kill brain cells and instead they found a 30% increase of cells in the hipocampus of rhesus monkeys Thoese are very important facts and should get you started. Just google certain portions of those statements to find the sources and articles like for example "Guzman, marijuana, cancer"
