So a local clinic must have a spider mite infestation and sold me infested clones.

Now all my plants are infested. I'm gonna use AVID and then order some ladybugs.

    anyone have any other suggestions?

  2. Lady bugz are bad news inside. Most of them fall victim
to the lights. And, they usually wont eradicate them.

Avid is ok, but Doktor Doom fogger/bomb (green can) is the best.

    At lights out...

Fog everything in the room/tent. The plant, soil, container, walls, floor, air.
    Seal up room.

    At lights on...

    Ventilate well.

    That should do it.

Let me know how it goes.

  3. Thanks I just read the doktor doom advice you gave in another thread. I'll be picking up a can first thing in the morning.

I kinda made this thread in haste trying to find out the problem but diagnosed it myself so I changed it to a spider might thread.

I'll post the results after I treat the plants.

  4. take it to the sink, and just wash em off. luckily my sink has one of those squirting valve on the side i just blast them away. eggs&mites gone.

  6. haha serioiusly bro it works:D

I havent seen an egg or miite yett babe!!

    medpatient:

u should go bak to the collective and tell them they f*ck'd up.
    maybe they'll toss u a gram or clone, worth a try lol:p

  7. The clinic will be giving me clones and some bigger vegged plants in three weeks after they fix their problem.

I used the doktor doom and it seemed to wipe out the spider mites. the local hydro store also sold me some floramite so if they come back but I'm not sure if I will use it after I have read up on it.

The next big problem is I now have some sort of fungus gnat or root aphid in my dwc buckets. They are really small. Some are green and some are black. Some have wings and some don't.

I took the worst infected bucket out of the room and washed it out. Most of the bugs in the bucket seemed to be dead already. I cleaned the roots off well and put the plant into a fresh bucket with ph'd nutrient water. I left to go get more water and when I returned the cleaned bucket was full if the bugs again and they were all over the roots. It seems they came from all the other buckets as those seemed close to bug free.

I couldn't get a good picture of a single bug because the camera I have is shitty. I will borrow a better cam tomorrow though and get a pic.

  8. I'm having trouble identifying these bugs.

the adults are green and have wings and don't really resemble the pictures of the fungus gnats. I haven't seen any pictures of root aphids with wings so i don't think that's what they are either.

    anyone have any ideas?

I would get pictures of one today but thankfully they're all dead for now. I'm worried about theme hatching if there is larva anywhere. I've been using H2O2

Man, u should go douse yerself with water.

If u show up again and laugh at someones misfortune, and then give out shit
information to them, I am going to do my best to get u banned - and it wont be hard.

For now, say hello to the little black mark above your username.

Medpatient: "Spinosad" will do the trick. Please get back to me.

Edit: Actually, try and find a product called Botanicare, it is good, and Azamax is safe.

These little guyz, are they teardrop shaped ??? They "sound" like root aphids.

  10. I don't think kid.Chinxy was trying to be a dick. I think that is honestly his cure and it might work for spider mights but definitely not root aphids (if that's what they are)

I looked up Botanicare and it seems to be a brand of fertilizers and supplements but I didn't see any pesticides from them.

Spinosad seems like a spray repelant but I'm not sure if thats something I want in my DWC buckets. I think the water would quickly dilute it to a bug tolerable level relatively quickly anyway.

I looked into AzaMax but it seems most people with root aphids had no luck with it. I might give it a try anyways though.

  11. PS: shiet happens in the garden..problems come and go.

best is just to laugh about and carry on.

  12. yeah I figured you didn't mean anything negative.

let's stay on topic though. if you guys have anything to say to each other take it to pm's. make sure to smoke a bowl and relax before you do though :smoke:

  13. thanx u medpatient!!!!!!!!:hello:

don't mind me, i treat my grow op like a boot camp :D

yeah, root problems are always not good. U should trimm
the roots, if the bottom is rotting.

I just either clone or junk the plant, if i ever get root infest :/

  14. Yeah I was stressin the first day but it's all part of growing. Just one more aspect of my favorite plant to educate myself on.

  15. U asked for some help man, and Ive spent summa my valuable time trying to do just what u asked. While I was wasting my time with u, I coulda been helping someone who really wanted to be sincere about it. And get the help they deserve.

You were given total shit information by someone who also laughed at u.

Excuse me for defending your plants. This is the gratitude Im shown ??? Im glad mosta my "patients" arent like u. U are a med patient, so I really wanted to help u out.

On second thought, maybe u should just go ahead and spray them with your water lol...

    GOOD LUCK

  16. Wow!

I was not taking sides or anything like that. I am greatful for the help you have given me. The Doktor doom worked great and I haven't seen a spider mite since I used it.

The spraying it with water wasn't the best information but I believe that was honestly what he would of done so i didn't criticize it as I would never criticize help that I was given.

You seem to have much more experience with dealing with bugs so i was trying to get an understanding of the products you recommended not trying to bash them.

I figured that you might of accidentily recomended Botanicare being the brand but not the actual pesticide. I wasn't criticizing this just requesting clarification on the name. The spinosad seemed like something that is sprayed on the upper part of the plant and not to be used in the DWC buckets. Again I was simply looking for clarification.

I don't understand why you would have hostility towards me I simply wanted to keep the peace and keep this thread on subject.

  17. are u an adult??

No body is pointing a finger at anybody and laughing at them.

I respectfully say i laugh with medpatient, we all been threw it.

PS: i feel ya pain bro, they can take the abuse :)

what r u the attitude snitchin police.

I dont know if u ever use water pressure to wash things away before. Its 2010..u know there's easier ways to do things.

u must not ever wash ur hands, cus thats how u get bad stuff off u kno??

PS: i aint even mad, im just laughin at how someone can be so folded.
