spaghetti o's and weed

  1. This is my first post and my first time actually experimenting with cooking.

    I read sonewhere here that you can soak ground bud in oil for 24 hours to a month without heat and it would extract the thc. Of course the longer you soak the more potent it will be

    anyways, heres what i did:

    1) Soaked about a gram in some vegitable oil for 24 hours-(just enough to cover and submerge all the weed.

    2) after about 24 hours i put the oil/weed in a small pot-(no i did not strain it, i dont care about the taste)

    3) i opened a small can of spaghetti o's and emptied it on top of the oil/weed-(the can i used was for a single serving, probably like 8oz can)

    ***optional-add spices for flavor/smell

    4) i began heating on medium-low heat stirring ocassionally-(my stove goes high, then medium high, then medium, medium low, low)

    5) after it came to a low boil...or just under a boil, i lowered the heat to low and simmered it with the lid on stirring occasionally.

    6) poured the finished product in a container for later.

    I didnt time the cooking but i probably cooked it for about 10 minutes

    I plan on eating this later tonight and will let you guys know the results. Also this method had no smell of weed at all! I soaked in a container with a lid on and there was no smell of weed. When i poured it in the pot there was a smell of weed but not too strong, i emptied the can of spaghetti o's and that covered up most of the smell i then added some seasoning and began cooking, and there was no weed smell. My aunt was in the kitchen with me, and although she is pretty much blind she couldnt smell it at all and had no idea, my sister came down half way through cooking and had no idea!

    Over all if this works it is an extremely stealthy way to make some edibles, i have no idea how potent this will be or if it will work at all but im hoping it will because this is something i can make with my mom in the kitchen...as long as she doesnt see me put in the weed


    Again ill eat it later amd let you know how it was and how it tasted,only other edible ive ever made were firecrackers

    Just started eating, so far it tases pretty good-i cant really.taste the weed at all! Alhough it is kind of oily... Ill post back in an hour or two and let you know if it works

    edit-about a quarter of spaghettios left, i think i might have to take a small break...not used to this much oil, probably didnt need to use so much since there is fat in the spaghettios too-still tastes good just not used to so much oil...i can feel it on my lips
     
  7. Alright, almost been two hours and i dont feel it...maybe a slight buzz but i cant really tell

    i did not decarb the weed or whatever that process is called so that may be one of the problems...

    Its possible that i did not cook it long enough for enough thc to be released and obsorbed in the fat...

    I may try this again and decarb and/or cook it longer - still not sure if decarbing in the oven will smell up the house
     
  8. Next time, use more then a gram of weed. Try atleast a quarter, get some sesame oil, or flax seed oil. let it sit for 3-4 weeks, then try this again, but only simmer it on low for a while.

    How do u let it sit in oil without it going rancid?
