Sovereignty Glass I'm looking at the two straight ones that are 300 dollars and the 500 dollar one. Do you think the perc would be worth it on such an already beastly bong, when it's 200 dollars for it? Other then the superiority of not having a downstem, is the glass Sovereignty uses superior to AMG? Is it "nearly indestructible?" (I've broken a couple bongs in the past, haven't broken anything since I moved into my new, less cluttered house though) Edit: 200 dollars for the perc or get an ashcatcher later?
SG uses German Schott Glass which as far as I have learned is a very high quality glass, if not the highest. I dont know what AMG uses, but you dont have to worry about quality when it comes to SG You have worry about yourself. Dumb stoner makes can break anything regardless of how well its made.
I bought a really well made bong (I believe?) here on grasscity, I managed to break it by knocking it over at just the right angle so that it fell on the joint and it cracked. I knocked over the AMG one time because I thought it was on my left side but for some ugodly reason I set it down to my right and hit it with my swivel chair, the slide snapped but the bong was unscratched. I've also accidentally hit the hard porcelain counter edges with the wide bottom of the bong a few times and it hasn't broken or chipped, thank god.
If you have a problem with breaking things and dont pay attention look at us tubes they make a all around 9mm tube these vids speak for themsleves. Anyways i do agree that SG is very quality im just saying US TUBES is like bomb proof and they make pretty decent priced glass. Stemlines are the shit though this is my personal suggestion. If your set on SG then do it. Just my 2 cents happy tokin!
i hate this stupid bong wars thing. yes its very durable glass, but thats not the only factor that goes into a nice tube....sovereignty makes extremely good quality glass with infinitely better diffusion. my friend's stemline just came in this morning and we cant be happier with it. if you can afford the 200 dollars extra i would definitely recommend it. that stemline to 8 is one of the sexiest tubes ive seen
Yeah it is kinda stupid, but it shows how thick-nasty a US Tube is, and no other bongs compare structurally IMO. If you have trouble with breaking shit, get a US Tube, they are great all around....personally i think a white walled 9mm looks SICK. RooR/Illy/Sov all make classically beautiful tubes, and if thats what you're looking for...go for it also, support your LHS!
Any thoughts on whether I should try and find these at a head shop somewhere or just have it shipped? Thanks for all your posts guys
Well yah its durable a good company overall and you can switch the diffy if you want different diffusion cause thats the only thing a stemline has on a us tubes. Just my own opinion and theres ashcatchers you can add i was just sayin.
Alright, I haven't ordered it yet, and I need some convincing on the extra 200 dollars for the perc. I can get a really nice ashcatcher later for 150, will that create more drag than the included perc because it's a pre-cooler? Do you think the perc is gonna make it more fragile?
