whats good so i live in southern Ontario and want to try some outdoor growing this spring. i have read the outdoor growing stickies and and im reading through the cannabis grow bible atm i need help laying it all out. i want to do something like 20 plants (i know, big for first time) in multiple spots, so like 4 spots of 5 plants. i'm looking for help on basic stuff like when i should plant and what strain to use for where i live. the higher the yield the better, size of the plant doesn't matter, 10 feet would be fine for all i care any advice helps
Plant after the last hard frost, probably early to mid May for you. Your grow season will be relatively shorter because of your latitude (compared to the majority on this site who are in USA), so for that reason I would stay away from pure sativas as they have longer flowering periods. Any strain that has at least 40-50% indica should be good. If you have any bagseed and the bag it came from was decent then try that -- newbies tend to make mistakes. If you want to buy genetics, Northern Lights or something with a good dose of NL in it is always a good starter strain because it is hardy, potent, decent yield, stays relatively low, takes well to training and topping, and some phenotypes are low odor.
