SOOOO got caught again

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by philien92, Apr 24, 2010.

  1. i completely agree with that but she told me today that she would much rather have me smoking outside our house where I'm not going to get arrested. (love my mom she's so cool)

  2. :)

Respect will gain you lots of things...respect shows them you are mature enough to handle situations like an adult versus "fuck you, I'm my own person, I'll do whatever I want, when I want, where I want!"

    Good luck though...

The first time I got caught my dad gave me a big lecture. The second time, I got the belt pretty hard....and there was no third time after that fucking thing, hahaha! What's ironic in my situation is my dad has been using since his teens...he said the reason why he did what he did was because I disrespected and lied to him...you learn pretty quick that way :D

  4. i always told myself that if i ever got caught again i was gona make her watch "the union" soooooooo glad its on netflix haha

  5. Only watch The Union if you don't think your mom will notice that it's completely biased.

  6. The Union was a GREAT suggestion, it will open anyone's eyes to the truth about weed. Also, show her the movie Grass. It's all about the old propaganda that the government did and still does shove down the throat of the masses.. Shit like
IF YOU SMOKE MARIJUANA, YOU WILL GO INSANE.
IF YOU SMOKE MARIJUANA, YOU WILL DO HEROIN.
IF YOU SMOKE MARIJUANA, YOU WILL BECOME AN UNMOVTIVATED LOSER.

Ahahahahaaaa, those are all real and all hilarious.

You need to show your mom that you are not irresponsibly using the drug, but you are actually highly educated about it's long and short term effects.

And you can always tell her that Michael Phelps smokes pot and look where he is..

Good luck, keep us posted on your progress! I hope your mom see's the light!

  9. That guy already gave the link to Granny Storm Crow's... List. I like the Marijuana myth's link someone gave you. These facts and studies will serve you much better than the union with your mom. While I love the union it may be too superficial fact wise, and many people don't like it because it is so blatantly biased toward maryjane. It is so casual. Like I said I love it, but if my kid was showing it to me I would really resist.

  10. I read somewhere that the AMA is now trying to put pressure on government to allow legalization for medical purposes, mostly testing right now. Try googling american medical association + medical marijuna and see what you come up with.

and btw, respect your parents, you don't want weed to be the reason you fall out with your parents. one day you'll look back and think, wow, i could have just smoked less or waited to get out of the house, but instead, I cut them out, cause they kept buggin' me about weed.

think ahead bro, weed should help, not destroy

  11. Here: Myths and Facts About Marijuana
Erowid Cannabis (Marijuana) Vault : Effects

Idk why but it really pisses me off when people like to say how "Weed can turn you retarded" and, one of my friends even says, "1 joint is equal to 7 cigarettes" (actually I can't remember if he said seven or SEVENTEEN)

And he won't even CONSIDER anything I say, because hes like

"Yeah and the government is lying to us to make people not smoke pot"

"Yeah well so what if they legalise it, obviously the crime rate will go down. Hell if you legalize shooting someone in the head the crime rate for that will go down too!"

"After you smoke pot one time, you're retarded for even trying it and you're burnt"

"Why would you want to even smoke it, theres no point at all."

That's the one that probably gets me the most..."Why do you smoke pot theres no point", when I might as well ask them

"Why do you watch tv? Or why do you have a hobby? Or why do you play videogames? Theres no point to that either is there."

Sorry these people just piss me off to no end.

  12. That's what i'm saying.

  13. holy shit does that article really say 14.6 million pot smokers in 2002? thats half the population of canada.. Has anyone that is a smoker ever had an extreme craving for weed like it sometimes happens with nicotine? Unfortunately i cannot find these facts possible, seeing as the same people say smoking cigarettes is more addictive than heroin. If anyone has ever done any research they will find that marijuana has no physical dependance, cocaine, crack, heroin, meth and anything else that people will sell their soul for. i refuse to read the rest of the article as it has fabricated information as soon as the 2nd paragraph

  14. thanks for all the info guys. I ended up not showing her the Union or anything...it all just kindof blew over within like a day, its like it never even happened (sooo relieved).

I agree that the Union is biased i think thats why we all like it so much, but you have to admit there are some pretty amazing points in there.

about to go look up that AMA stuff that would be pretty sweet if its true.

  15. Am I fuckin' blazed.. or do none of the citations work?

EDIT: on the original link that is...

  16. That's a great point. People that are already against marijuana will not switch sides because of the union, it does not give the straight facts that will be able to convince that person.

OP, I see that you already said that it's cooled off and everything's good, but if the opportunity to discuss marijuana with her comes up again, I highly suggest using links that were provided already in this thread, because those will give her the solid facts that are unbiased and unaltered.

  17. I was in your exact same situation. It's been probably 4 months since i went through that, and my mother is pretty chill now, she just asks i dont bring anything into her house which isnt a big deal.

  18. I agree you need to respect them. however

"If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so."

    \t\t- Thomas Jefferson

My dad learnt I smoked last monday, and this tuesday he came home an hour after i smoked and smellt and saw my eyes and everything. Before tuesday, me and him were constantly going back and forth about how it's better than this, but no substance is better than a substance, blah blah blah.

However yesterday he didn't bring it up at all.

Idk, I think (I hope), that he realized that he can't stop me, and that' it's not affecting me negatively, and it's not as bad as all the propogandas say.

    Best of luck to you.
