Jimmy Hendrix used to put acid in his headband and he would sweat and it would drip into his eyes/mouth making him trip nuts.
I thought he used the headband to cover up cuts/scratches where he dropped the acid? Never knew for sure though. Never really dug sonic youth though.
Yeah sonic youth is pretty sick.. they're a christian band. So i'm pretty sure acid isn't in the picture haha but i see what you mean. Probably not the word they intended to spread. haha

Deff. not a christian band... I'm in love with this band. I have been for a few years now, love 'Cross the breeze and Kill Yr Idols. The band just did a cover of "I'm not there" that's pretty sick for the movie of the same name. Sorry to re-up an old thread, but I felt it was better than creating a new one.
Sonic Youth is definitely not a Christian band. Their album Daydream Nation is up there on my Favorite Albums of All Time list. Listen to the song Eric's Trip if you want to hear a bugged-out song (or get the entire album EVOL for a bugged-out album).
I've only heard the album Rather Ripped, but I liked it a lot. This is one of my favorite songs. I have trouble getting into the real jammy material.
