Post a song that influenced a change in your lifestyle, daily tasks, thought pattern(s), perspective on surroundings, interests, hobbies, opinions, etc.

I'll start~! Best music video I've ever witnessed. Period. This song pretty much taught me to live life to the fullest and be careful with any heavy decisions. Ever heard the phrase "carpe diem"? You'll know when you know...

  2. Pretty cool thread idea...I'll add my contribution. This song showed me that you could combine awesome melodies and songwriting with heavy-ass guitars:

This pretty much defined me. I heard it in 2001 when I was about 10 years old, I don't even want to think what I'd be if I hadn't.

This was the proof I needed to be able tell the people around me who tried feeding me as "quality" music to stop coming to me with their substandard, bubblegum, cookie-cutter bullshit -.-

i remember listening to this after a friend of mine had passed away last year. the past couple years have been kinda shitty to me but this song always helps me through the hard times.

  6. This music (the music of Junior Kimbrough) comes, simply and magnanimously, from the air and dirt of north Mississippi. You take a couple shots of your favorite whiskey on a late August afternoon, sit on your front porch with a slide guitar and a joint, lean forward, and in the lull of heat and alcohol and heartache, pour out your heart. The Black Keys, better than any contemporary blues act, capture the true grit of delta blues at its core. One of the truest rock groups in a long, long time.

This one helped me open my eyes to the problems i was having and helped me realize there was more and to go have fun instead of being deppressed over stupid shit.

I will post more when I think of them, but these two absolutely grab my thoughts and take me somewhere else. I feel like I am in perfect harmony when I hear them. Seven Swans? One of the most EPIC ballads ever written.

  10. I hate to bring some sadness to the thread but i feel like i have to. A friend of mine died three years ago and at his funeral everyone in the audience started singing along to this song. Everytime i hear this song i think of chris and how we're not here for very long so we gotta have fun while it lasts. Rest in peace chris you are missed...

  11. That's touching to hear man, I'm sorry for your loss. That music seems very emotional and powerful, so I can't imagine what it was like to experience something like what you mentioned.

  13. My best Songs are hear.I choose as my favorite Rolling Stones album: I with them their own songs, short stories and novels, I'm obsessed with a lot of books. "Midnight Rambler" about the serial killer the first time I heard of a rock band singing - but spirit. It was late in the 60s when the Beatles sang, stones, a nice relaxed, rock band 'All you need is love ", one is more realistic.all the memories that come with that song.
