Sometimes I wish hippies were still around

Yeah the smoking community is filled with "bros" and "gangsters" now. I would totally give up all this stupid technology for cheap weed, a good economy, and some hippy friends. I have one hippy friend though so it's all good I guess.

 

The reason why you dont see many hippies nowadays is probably because our buttfuck of a government does a good job at alienating them from society in everyway possible.


When I was younger I used to think hippies were retarded.


Now however, I realize they had just about everything right.


But id say that im a part of a new wave of young "hippies". But I dont think the word hippies fits us.

But by everything that is good, FUCK HIPSTERS. They are just people that want to be a hippy, but dont want to be a hippy.


It was like how hypocritical the emo scene was. Too look emo, you had to have some money, but usually someone who has a reason to be emo doesnt have a whole lot of money...


With hipsters its even worse. They go out and spend hundres dollars on clothes so they can look ratty and homeless. That has to be the most demeaning shit to an actual homeless person. Urban Outfitters has one purpose. To give people who are too good to shop or be seen at a thrift a place to buy thrift stor clothes.

Shit.... this country is fucked.

 

I would say that I dress hippy, jeans and an old hippy band t-shirt is my daily clothign regime, I have some other t-shirts too though. I may get a hemp weave bracelet or something like that to go with it. People now definitely suck, the shallow stupid egotistical music should be a dead give away.

 

Hippies are around. I`ve been labelled as a hippy, myself. I have a various group of friends, and only a small group I would consider to be hippy. Myself, on the exterior, you would never assume to be a hippy, but it`s not about looks, it`s about mentality.

Many people can be hippies, however nowadays you may not see genuine hippies very often. The whole "Peace and Love" kind of thing. But there are people who think outside the box.

I`d call myself a beatnik, with traces of hippydom intertwined. It`ll be a great find if you can find a full-blown hippy. With all the groups we have these days, you`re going to find people that only have traces of certain labels.

 

The entertainment industry ruined all that with idiots like Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy and people like them. Nobody knows what herb is truly about anymore.

 

Y'all are idealizing hippies too much. Many of them were hippies because it was the 'cool' thing to do at the time.

The more that things change the more they stay the same.

 

i dnt no if im ur age bt i know what u mean all pple now adays just trying to show off the best thing i do is get absalutly stoned out of my tree and watch dvds with my girl talk all night n chill if theres any more ppl than 2 i think whats the point i can only chill when there 2 lol

Yeah, and when the whole entire world didn't revolve around:

"Yeah yo, dis nikka was talking shit."
"Iight, you wanna kill dis motherfucker?"
"Yeah, and his mama."

And just people fight for no reason. Hippies are peaceful. My mom was a hippie. She said she hitchhiked all the way to California and Florida, and back to Massachusetts. She said she's done LSD and Acid and one time, her a few of her hitchhiker hippie friends were driving and the cops pulled them over. They had to eat all the LSD so she said she was tripping in jail for a few hours until they let them go (They had no weed, only LSD at the time and they all ate it all)

I wish people were still like that. Im tired of fighting.

I am a tad younger than you by 2 years, and i feel the same. All these guys i chill with do is complain and ask me for bitches or else they won't throw down. Then they steal your weed and your pieces. Stupid fags. Hippies FTW

I use to know a kid who was a hippy he would have smoking rings in his house where everyone sat on his floor and passed some joints. It was fun, if you like that sort of thing I guess....
