Ok so something is eating away or deteriorating my stalk at the base of my rockwool, I have never seen this before and am 100% sure that its not any type of insect.(at least not one you can see with your eyes)? Is thats some type of Mold or fungus? Or possibly a disease? Any help would be appreciated. Here is a close up!!! And this is what the plants look like as a whole. (pretty Happy I think) If you have any Idea whats going on and how I can stop it I would really appreciate it.
Ya defiantly not a cutworm... I have 2 feet of snow outside and no way a Caterpillar like that would be able to make it to my grow, and if it did I would totally notice it.
Ok, if you're so sure. They live underground and come out at night to eat. The eggs come from moths IIRC. Good Luck. Wet
It could be but I highly doubt it. There pretty big and I have no soil at all for them to hide in, all I have in there is rockwool and Hydorton. Its in a flood and drain system so when the water kicks on I would think they would come up to the top for air. Again I could be wrong, but I wanna be sure b4 removing all that hydroton.
root rot on the base of stock from too much moistness, unclean water and or dirty moldy clay rocks? or maybe that is part of the upper rooting system and is supposed to be underground away from light and in moist soil and because its not it looks bad.... (im just helping brainstorm, dont take offense to anything I wrote)
