I have an outdoor grow and most of my plants have something that looks like eggs can anyone identify what the
Outside plants can be infected by several things from Powdery Mildew to the dreaded bud worms AKA caterpillars. Green cure for the mildew BT-dipel for the caterpillars Spinosad for the rest of the creepy crawlers. In Southern California I only have to battle the mildew and caterpillars as the rest are self correcting. Mites and thrips mother nature seems to keep in check with the local population of lady bugs and praying mantis. Green cure I get from the local hydroponics shops BT can be found at most garden centers for tomato horn worm control. Bacillus Thuringiensis Spinosad BNW
So it looks like cattepillar eggs? I live in Maine and we do have cattepilars but I haven't caught any on my 0lants. Thanks for the reply btw
Those aren't caterpillar eggs. Dont know what it is but it isn't caterpillars. Have you pulled any off? It kinda looks webby. Is it? I tried to get a close up but it blurs out the closer I get so I'm not getting any good definition.
I went out today and found the culprit in the act. Some kind of worm looking thing. The eggs basically fall off if I b3ush them but it bores into the stem and then planted the eggs around 5he hole. Here is a pic of the one I caught
Caterpillar eggs are like the ones pictured. Scale insects tend to cluster on the stems and suck fluids. BNW
So they are living in my plants underneath the egg looking made there is a burrow hole, I cut it off below the burrow hole and peeled the stem and found this, I think I'm screwed
a moment of silence for your lady. I hope you can salvage her before the bugs fuck stuff up too much -To a blooming budness, cheers
Okay while everybody's responses were funny, this guy has a real pest. He's got a branch boring larva on small plant. You need to do a soil drench with BT or neem. Not too sure how a soil drench with Azamax or spinosad would work but if they can be passed on systemic it would stop any further damage from worms not detected. Still definitely cut out any of those fuckers that you find asap.
I will give that a try. Thanks for your advice. This is my first grow so really green when it comes to this stuff. I will keep this thread with how things progress.
