Some Questions!

Discussion in 'Medical Marijuana Usage and Applications' started by JustnBlaze, Apr 1, 2010.

  1. Hey all I'm fairly new yo the medical marijuana system, unfortunately not in california but currently reside in the southern part of maine. I use cannabis for pain related issues along the lines of leukemia. I have the opprotunity to travel to Southern California for a week around April 10-17, will be in Dana Point, southern side of Laguna. I have a few questions cause this problem is a first for me.
    1. I know it's not legal to carry my medicine while traveling on a plane or train, in this case it will be a plane. So concerning that how am I supposed to go to california with my medication, or is it possible to use another states Med Card in another because i can't stand the pain pills they give me (oxycontin, fentanyl etc..) I don't really know what to do because i would rather smoke my medical marijuana than take a form of "legal heroin" heroin basically is what my old options were, so i'm not sure i did some research and found there was a dispensary called Holistic Care right in Dana Point.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me, cause I do not want to even risk bringing my non-pill prescribed marijuana medication on a plane, that's just another problem i do not need at this point. If i'm not able to buy any in Dana Point the trip will inevitably leave me bed ridden and sleepy beyond belief from these other medications I can use, but STRONGLY prefer not to because of their addiction capability and there overall strength is to strong and puts me right to sleep and if not in a half awake state :(. Now I know you might say well just don't go, but why should i be limited to 1 state, I dunno when my life could end so I wanted to see California for the first time in my life. If there is no other options how hard would it be to unfortunately seek alternative sources around Laguna, I highly prefer not to do this but in the sake of making my trip and life better I would do this as a last resort. Anyone with any insight on the topic please respond in a mature order, or send me a private message, any advice on the issue would be greatly appreciated .

  2. Legally you cannot medicate in California with your Maine recommendation. You cannot enter or purchase medicine in a California dispensary with a Maine Recommendation.

  3. You are going to have to make a pick-up when you are there because California doesn't honor your card.
