This is my first grow and they are doing well, but on 2 of my 4 plants there is a bit of yellow showing on the leaves. Is it due to the nutrients? All four are different strains and I know that isn't ideal but its too late now so any advice would be great. I'm using a 2-gallon reservoir with Aqua Flores A and B part solution under 2 5000k cfl's and 1 6500k cfl on 24/0 http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c57/supermantheorymoney/leaf.jpg
It is natural for leaves to turn yellow during the last part of flowering. But if you're not in the last parts of flowering, then watch your nutes...
no sure if this is the answer your looking for but it is normal for lower leaves to turn yellow and/or die and fall off as the plant gets bigger.
check in here man http://forum.grasscity.com/general-indoor-growing/374679-essential-plant-nutrients.html lower down it has pics of dificiencies and such
My pH is around 530 'cause they're just past early vegging. Is that okay or is higher or lower better?
I hope so because the top leaves are bright green but the lower ones are getting a little funky on me.
im not very experienced with hydro, but i read optimal ph for hydro is around 5.5ish. personally i use soil and just started flowering. every couple days i pull off about a total of 10 yellow or weak leaves from 12 plants. i've done outdoor soil in the past and my bottom leaves also slowly started dying.
That's good news. I'll see how they're doing during the next few weeks and if any leaves are yellowing. It's strange though cause my 2 sativas are perfectly healthy but its my indicas that seem to be struggling slightly so I don't want to alter anything too much.
