I’m sorry I only use organic live soil. I used to use half cocoa Loco and happy frog but soil is the way to go Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hello @TripleJ I'm not sure what the problem you're having is. I see that your plants are very healthy and that you are monitoring them in good detail. Can you explain what it is that you'd like to see happen?
How do you like that bud candy? Some people say it’s good some people say it’s useless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I agree like TG said. What exactly is the issue? Your plants look like normal vegging plants, I would maybe top them and get some training going on. But they look healthy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This is why I was so amazed when I switched over to live soil, so I barely had to think about anything. As long as you create a good environment. They basically grow themselves as long as you feed that soil properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Quality over quantity for me I can always have another huge canopy growing in a couple weeks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
You also have to keep track of more products. I couldn’t imagine having to keep a journal like that. lol. I mean, of course certain things noted in my calendar, such as the day I started. The day I flipped. And the days and flower but I couldn’t imagine having to write all that out. That’s just my brain though. Lol I am, however, going to get a thermometer that has Bluetooth capabilities that can constantly read to your phone the temperature swing and VPD chart Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
those are nice points, but we are detracking this person's thread. I monitor my plants when I'm doing new things (like the poster is doing atm), but once you get the hang of it, there's no need to monitor, or at least just minimally. You can check my albums for some nice grows as well. I've done side by side comparisons, and I know I get more from nute plants. I also run the risk of mucking everything up when I am doing new things...
It just works well with my schedule and also you don’t really have to flush because there’s no salt buildup. But yea. check this out I built a new veg box for seedlings to harden up before they go into the tent Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I may be just be overreacting but my concerns would be the twisting growth, and the purple blemishes appearing on the stem of the plant. Also if u look at plant 1 table the most recent watering shows a significant drop in ppm the input was 730 and it came out at 270. Any ideas as to what may be going on? Ik they may be due for a pot up would that be causing these issues?
The purple on the stem is completely normal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk- some genetics just have purple petioles
Best products around for synthetic imo when I did organic I would use some bud candy as well and u could immediately see new growth after the supplementation.
I believe this is a symptom of high EC/tds. I prefer to use EC as the standard of measurement since TDS can differ depending on the instrument being used, whereas EC is always the same; I think it's also the industrial standard. Anyhow, yea, you can back up the the amount of nutes being fed, or at least don't increase them anymore. I'm not sure what that means. I know that the stalks turning purple can mean a (phosphorous) deficiency, but in this case, I would think an excess. tbh, I did notice that. That's an incredible drop. First off, I would make sure that there wasn't an air bubble that got stuck in the meter. Myself, I need to turn off the air pumps in my reservoirs when checking EC because it affects the reading. Just give the pen a slight shake next time when you immerse it in the solution to make sure. It could also be that the plant absorbed a lot of the nutes, although this seems overboard! Couple other points I need to declare that I don't and have never used advanced nutrients (Sensi a and b master grower line). I normally feed my plants at an EC of ~1200 when they get to that stage, but I'm not pushing them hard. That translates to ~600 ppm (at 0.5 conversion factor). I've been having success using Plant Products MJ line nutes, which cost about $30 for a 2kg tub, which lasts me very long time. There's more to it than I just explained, see here if you are interested. It was my trial run back in 2019. I have though helped people with problems when using AN nutes, which seem to be recommending using too much; which is also what most nutrient providers do. Maybe just back the amounts off for a little; after all, the plants are just in veg. These plants (the larger ones) are currently receiving ~1200 uS (EC reading) that I mentioned. They are also in coco/perlite and I am using Drain to Waste (DTW) methods. Even at that amount, I get a touch of burn. This strain is finicky when it comes to magnesium though, so not the best examples. Another point is that, as @buckethead129 suggested, it would be optimal to train your plants. You can see in the picture I've posted that the plants have been topped and the four new mains have been held back using some wire. I've had plants grow bushy like the ones you grow (like the Bruce Banner #3 I am growing), and it becomes really a burden if I don't train them earlier on; the stalks get too hard to shape, the branching get too tight. This can be a good thing, it just depends what you are trying to achieve. So yea, just back the EC off a touch and let them stretch some. I personally think you got this
I don’t know what else I could possibly say I told him it looks like there’s no problem to be honest they look pretty healthy to me Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
