Some good programs to run...

I just wrote this up for another forum, I figured I'd share it here as well.




FireFox

Features:
Tabbed Browsing
Virtually no pop-up ads (I can count the number of pop-up ads I have had in the last six months on one hand)
Many many plugins and features.
Much smoother running than IE
Skinnable (you can change how it looks.




WindowBlinds
(top one on the list)
(there are other skinning programs on there as well)


They have free versions, but if you really want the full version it's not that hard to find for free.

This program just reskins (changes how it looks) windows, but be careful, it can caus slow down on slow systems.


Winamp
(pictured in my desktop image above)

Most people already have this, but a lot don't. To me this is my favorite program for music. It has many many plugins as well.


DivX

This program is a great video player and a great alternative to Windows Media Player.


OpenOffice

A free and smaller version of Microsoft Office Suite. Has all of the same fuctionality, but takes up 1/10th the hard drive space and is open source.


well, that's all I've got for now, anyone that want's to is free to add to my list. I figured I'd just help you guys out with some cool programs.
