What up all! I'll start of by saying i;m new here and i find these threads to be very helpful. I have been doing everything by the book to which fit my standards and i am starting to run into a problem i couldn't figure out. From what i read, and the symptoms so far i think it might be heat stress but also to much nutrients that will not evaporate. I've also added a picture from underneath the leaf looking towards the light so that you can see the effect of it.Does anybody have an idea? It would be greatly appreciated.
Didn't mean for them to be that big but know you can get a good look of what i am trying to point out. Thanks anyone
What are you feeding and what is your ph? If your ph is on (6.4) then you have a nute deficiency, quite possibly N Soil looks nice and dry, next time add a bunch more perlite, like 40% is a good number.
Hey Grandfather thanks for the quick reply. The last time I checked to weeks ago it was at 6.5 which I read was good. I started with the miracle grow potting mix with the 3 months if extended nutrient balls which I sifted through and got rid of. My buddy told me their should be enough nuts in the soil to keep it going for a while. So I haven't been feeding it nothing yet. Also told me those balls are bad in the long run so those I took out. It grew nice until now. That leaf and a few other spots are starting to appear. I've been using tap water that I let sit out for 2 days(for bad stuff to evaporate) prior to watering. I don't get it. Fan pointing at the plant and upward and humidifier blowing into the fan.
Also, these seeds are from some bag weed i got that was like brick weed, but it was really compact and dense and a lot of crystals. I think it was just cured wrong. Could this be a good strain from mexico that got shipped over and just stored wrong, which grew mold? Or will this plant come out like some dirty stuff.
Looks like pH is off or the room is hot. Could be a K buildup but that's uncommon unless you're playing mix and match with your ferts.
not feeding it anything. My buddy told me their is enough nuts in the soil to last. just water. Ph is at 7.0, N at Medium/high, P at low and K at low. Is this burning cause i am not feeding?
Like I said, your pH is off. Check the pH of your runoff, not the water going in. What does it read? I'm guessing somewhere in the 8's or 9's.
You have a 2 part problem. Biggest problem is part 1 - your ph. You have to deal with this. Get a cheap ph pen. $30 Smaller and just as easily fixed problem - your plant is in need of some _ not a bunch _ food. Without the ph pen, it is silly to feed the plant because for sure you have a nute lockout going on. If you want to see how ph affects nutes, http://thumbsnap.com/i/vRNn1U6G.jpg So, how to fix.....get ph pen, flush pot (slowly, don't just pour water thru) with ph water.....let soil dry for a day and the plant to begin to uptake the food which is in the soil but it couldn't get at because of the ph being out of whack. Check out your local hydro shop and find a brand of nutes you can afford and that will work with your soil. Good luck
Ok so the soil tested at a ph at 7 and the water that i've been giving it was at 7 also. So I'm guessing i had a little nutrient lockout but would like to bring the ph down a little more. Now i herd and read that the best ph for soil would be 6.0 to 6.7. Is this true? Also I have read that lemon and viniger will do the trick but its not good for some reasons. What's the most organic and fastest way to lower the ph in the water that i give the plant. I have a good 2 inches left to the top of the pot. Should i add an inch or to of potting mix to the top with a teaspoon of some kind of organic mix mixed in and eventually it will lower ph, 1 point or so to get down to 6 and if i do do that will adding a ph water of 6 to it then bring it down to 5 or. Or don't ad mix and lower water ph or both? Im worried about using ph/up and ph/down that you get for fish tanks. Something not good for taste? Most correct and fast effective way?
