solving over-watered plant problem

Discussion in 'Growing Marijuana Indoors' started by Cope, May 28, 2009.

  1. okay, i have two veggins plants in week 6 with very droopy leaves that sag to the soil. they have gotten over watered and i transplanted one to new soil, im wondering if i just dont water them for a while shouldnt they just start getting better? or do they actually drown and die. overwatering just makes the plant look like it has no chance. its my first grow, so can anyone help?
    sorry. no camera

  2. droopy leaves are from over or under watering.... is your soil wet???

  3. its dry today, but woesnt for a while, and im wondering if everything will just go back to normal after a day or two of dryness

  4. can you find a picture which looks like your plants so we can get an idea?

obviously the cure for over watering is to stop watering. not much more to it than that. make sure you got holes in your buckets lol.

if they dont get better you should goto the sick plants forum and scour it for a pic which looks similar.

  5. I don't think you really needed to transplant the one plant but I'm no pro. I gave mine a bit too much a few days ago and they looked a bit droopy like you mentioned but the next day they looked wonderful so I onno. I say just wait for the first like 3 inches of the soil to be dry then water again, obviously less than you did when they got over watered.

  6. alright i'll wait a while and post back. and the only reason i transplanted was because it was rootbound anyway, and planned on it wheatheror not it was over-watered.

  7. i transplanted a 5 day old sprout tht was on deaths door. 3 hours after i did this i checked on it , the lower leaves were yellow and crispy and dry. but the uper leaves picked themselves up it still hasnt sprouted its next grouth. its still only 4 leaves. well 2 now hah.

transplanting into new soil will help alot to get the moisture out of there asap.

dont water for a few days. if not a week. just check the soil with your finger.
try some superthrive in your water. .4ml per liter of water. dont water it as much as you think it needs, it doesnt need it!
