Solo battery question.

You're fine letting it charge while you sleep, thats how I take care of mine. As far as the beeping goes, it only happens when the solo is turned on. So when you plug it in, its initial start up will cause one beep, just as it does when you turn it on for a session. It only beeps once though.

I read somewhere you should only let it go to 80% capacity before charging, to prolong battery life.

For me that like when it hits battery level 4 or 5 I'll try charging it somewhere, but if I need to use it I need to use it.

 

You don't need to be that delicate with your battery; these are LiIon cells and are quite hardy. You don't want to let it totally discharge, but it's not going to hurt it to get it go down to level 1. The protection circuit of the battery will prevent it.

As well, I will soon be offering replacement battery packs for the Arizer Solo for anyone who wants to replace an old and ailing battery. I think that it is ridiculous that Arizer expects people to purchase new units once their battery dies and warranty expires.

 

You never want to let a Lithium Ion battery discharge all of the way; it will damage it. But the 1 - 7 indicator at power on is manually programmed in there by arizer; and they aren't going to let it go down to the level that the battery will be damaged at.

 

When you turn your Arizer it will show how much battery it has. Depending on your version it will either show it right away by lighting up the 1 - 7 lights, but some version will flash all 7 lights on first and then do the battery life thing.

 

Mine flashed the blue idle led, then the 7th led only. Then the 1-7 LEDs steady on to show the battery charge number.

I've been looking at their atuff but its all on backorder at the moment I'm planning on getting the stealth which would add a nipple so I can use the air hose with it a bit better. The GonG adapters are nice as well. I'm going to get a 14 myself but I also have a GonG 14-18 adapter. Those turbo pipes are nice too. I am planning on getting a straight, curved, stealth, and GonG adapter as well as the home adapter. I have an inverter in my truck so I can either charge or use the solo with that once I have both adapters.

 

Home adapter allows you to bypass the battery and use the Solo plugged into a wall outlet.
