It will not create any issues. It just decreases your bill. I think 5k is standard system. So during the day the system will be giving you 5000w of power off solar. Anything over that it starts pulling feom the city power.
I think it's typically more than 5k, but yeah I've read you can decrease your electric bill by 50%. I think Google Earth or something has maps showing which parts of your house get the most sunlight? I remember reading something about it like a year or two ago but I can't remember if it was only in certain locations at the time, might be worth looking into. I'd say do your research and get a professional opinion before anything.
