I'm Preparing to growing a plant outdoors ! I will be using Foxfarm Ocean Forest Soil and Pertile. Just wondering if there is anything else I should add to the soil, if not what should be the ratio for soil/pertile. Thank you
Personaly ocean forest is a perfectly fine mixture on its own, especialy when growing outdoors. Perlite is used to get air down into the soil and also absorb and hold excess water, doing this to soil outdoors isnt as much necessary as it is indoor growing as things are usualy in pots and not in the ground intself. If you are growing in a pot outside i would still suggest leaveing ocean forest on its own, its mixture is just fine for what you want to do with it. When buying soil in bulk and makeing my own mixture however i usualy go 80/20 with perlite for indoor grows and 90/10 with outdoor.
