Hi guys, I was hoping someone could point me at some good resources or explain soil runoff levels to me. I've planted in Fox Farms Ocean Forest, which is lightly fertilized.. I haven't put any fertilizers in yet only things like Rhizotonic, Vermi T, and Super Thrive (all in small amounts).. My EC meter tells me the runoff is 1500 PPM. Doesn't that sound high? and I haven't even put in nutes? The solution I'm watering with reads between 5-10 PPM.. Help me understand?
This is why potting soil like Fox Farm is best used as an additive to regular peat based mediums (PRO MIX/SunShine MIX) 1500 PPM is quite high and will slow down the growth of your cuttings/babies. I would for now just water the plants with ph'd water and foliar feed them for a week or so with Super Thrive/ Seaweed extract/JumpStart. Keep feeding them like that if they are still growing good other wise introduce your hydro food.
