Im starting my first grow in about eight years and im need some good ideas on a good soil mix. I will be growing some AK-Thunderfuck and Takilla. My grow area is 36x36x96, I will be using a 400w MH for veg. and a 400w HPS for flowering. All ventilation and carbon filters are set and ready to go. Any help on the soil mix will be graetly apreciated.
Sounds like a groovy plan dude, for soil I'd use Foxfarm ocean forrest as most soil growers round here have great results using it. I used to use foxfarm but now I use any good potting soil without added nutes and add perlite and vermiculite plus a little bit of peatmoss. Good luck
Yeah Ocean Forest does work very well. You should "cut" it with something, the other guys suggestions would work. You could also just mix in some FF Light Warrior for better drainage. Follow the bags directions, no nutes for four three to four weeks.
