Hey fellow growers Im about a week away from germinating, just waiting on the seeds, so im trying to get a plan going for my soil. I went to my local lowes last night just to get a feel for what they have soil wise and I was thinking of starting the seedlings in this Jiffy seedling mix. The bag didn't list any ingredients but it looked like nice stuff. Would that be acceptable soil to start em of in? Should I add anything like perlite, bone meal, blood meal etc... When I transplant them out in the wild I was thinking of using miracle grow moisture control with some perlite, blood/bone meal, some peat moss and also a whole fish. I will also utilize the native Iowa soil which is suppost to be some of the best around and maybe some soil from my garden that has been growing tomatoes, which I hear are similar to cannabis, for the past 10 years. Anyone see any problem with this plan? Any suggestions? I will be growing some auto that are quite sensitive to nutes, I don't know if that changes anything. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
@Jamo: Jiffy seedling mix is nice. Check out Danks thread and your goals will be achieved. His mix is what you are looking for. http://forum.grasscity.com/organic-growing/817774-dank-oh-zees-starter-mix-guide-early-growth.html Kush
