Soil Pros Please.

  1. Hi advanced people. I need help with a small problem I am having. I think it might be possibly mg deficiency? My plants look great right now, but there are some leaves that curl down slightly. And some of the leaves look like that have a yellow tint to them. But when you look at them out of the light they look fine. There are a few plants that are different genetics and some in roots soil, some in roots soilless mix, some in foxfarm/happy frog mixed together. The ff/hf is looking better then roots. But they all have pretty much the same symptoms. Few lower leaves have brown spots/dead. Some of the larger leaves have slight limp/curling down. Note, for the first 3 weeks they were in 1/2 gallon pots and got root bound for about 2--5 days, this is where the brown spots on lower leaves came from. But for the most part they look healthy. I just dont want this problem to start getting worse and worse without doing anything.

I gave the roots soilless mix 1sp of humboldt grow/bloom and 1 tbsp of honey ES+flavor ful(i aerated this batch)
I gave the plants in soil the same thing with no grow.
    Only use distilled water.
    3 gallon grow bags.
    75degrees inside tent
use half cup of water per bag every 4-5 days
plants today showing first signs of sex on 12/12
    vegged for 3.5 weeks
Is there any possibilities of MG deficiency with these nutes?

  2. half a cup of water sounds out of wack to me i also grow in 15 litre pots and i water 3 litres per pot during flowering every few days around 2 litres in veg

  3. half of a cup is definitely not enough water.

  4. half cup maybe enough for a little plant in little pot but nothing bigger than that, dont think half cup would even make it to the bottom of tap root in a 3gal pot not a pro though

  5. Agreed. Half of cup every 4 or 5 days is not enough.

  6. not trying to sound like a smart ass...seriously. but best advice on soil is......get rid of it and replace it with coco. works so much better, more stable, and tons more breathability. you can not over water in coco.

  7. not being able to over water is a plus never played with coco
