hi i am atempting my first outdoor grow this may. i am planing on planting in a woods that has alot of pine trees. i heard pine trees make the soil very acidic. is this true? if so what can i do to help the soil get to a more nutral ph. thanks
Dig a giant hole, put a 20 gal container (with drainage holes) in the hole. Fill container with soil and put your plant in it.
Go to your local nursery, and try to find some dolomite lime. Dolomite lime is beneficial in number of ways. It is made up of Calcium and Magnesium which are two micro nutrients that marijuana uses. It will also buffer the soil, so that the pH will remain close to 7. Also buy some potting soil. Enough to be able fill a five gallon bucket. Next prepare the soil by mixing some of the dolomite lime with the potting soil. You can use two cups of dolomite for five gallons of soil. Just make sure it is well mixed in the soil. Dig a hole in the ground about the size of a 5 gallon bucket. Put the prepared soil in the hole. Sprinkle some time release fertilizer over the top of it. Plant your seedling or clone in the middle. All you have to worry about now is just watering. Now just sit back and watch the magic! It will grow huge!
