Soil pH issues(help me G Squared)

Discussion in 'Sick Plants and Problems' started by Mustachio8, Dec 19, 2007.

  1. I cannot seem to keep my pH under control. I flushed everything last week and the brown spots that were developing stopped and everything looked great but now my pH runoff is back up around 7.2 again and the browning has resumed. I made the mistake of using Expert Gardner Perfect Soil Mix. If I transplant everything(6 of my plants are in 1 Gal and need to be transplanted anyway) and use a better soil(I'm thinking a mix of FF Light Warrior and FF Ocean Mix) would that help cure my ails? Thanks in advance.

  2. sounds like there is something in the soil that keeps changing the PH

a transplant into fresh soil is the fastest course of action

run the rootball under the hose to remove ALL the old soil then transplant and water after the transplant, the plants should show signs of recovery within a week

  3. Thanks again. After I transplant what should I water it with to help with/avoid shock.

  4. Get a bottle of SUPERTHRIVE for transplanting.

  5. Thanks brother.

  6. I had this same problem that I also discussed with GG a few weeks back...if you need any advice on the transplanting process I have mucho advice...I transplanted a few 3-4 foot plants a few weeks into budding

  7. Thanks. I'll let you know once I get it done
