Soil & Nutes?

  1. Can anyone just give me a good outline for what i will need for 5 Plants? Going as organic as possible.

  2. Really good dirt thread here.

    You won't need nutes.

  3. Yep zero nutes if your going organic and fox farm ocean forest is a good beginners soil to use has everything you need in it! Awesome stuff! Inexpensive too like $15 for a bag. If you want to add nutes fox farm tri liquid fertilizers is a great one. They are basically just work castings bat guano and bone meal and some other stuff about the most "organic" you can get for nutes lol great stuff too.

  4. Bagged soils are great, Ocean Forest, Happy Frog, Roots Organic have all been good to me. I prefer RO over the others but it's pricey. HF is my second choice, needs a lot of perlite but one bag ends up being over 20 gal after dumping it in.

You can mix your own too, it would be nice to have a 3.8 bale of peat and a 50l bag of perlite on hand, as well as a vermi bin... bagged soils are just more convenient for me.

  5. I have some Tomato Soil which came with a Nutrient Supp would it be okay to use that?

  6. yes! tomato soil is great for cannabis plants.

  7. don't know how people say you don't need nutes. you definitely need them after the first month. there at plenty of organic nutes that you can use.

  8. Well amended soil needs no nutrients, for years. Might need some minor reammending but you won't need to add anything during the grow but clean water, maybe some act or keep tea if you feel the need.

Edit: phone auto spell likes to drop fbombs

  9. When I bought the soil the guy said it only has enough nutrients for 6 weeks.

  10. well if its a chemical, its measured and used up. if the nutrients are there naturally/organically, there will be microscopic critters in the soil, that decompose or break down the soil into food for the plant. until there is no food left for the critters (soil, wood chips, sugar like molasses), there was always be food as the microbes will always spread and populate.
