could some one suggest a soil mix/materials i can get at most home centers. i'm obviously a newbie. the recipe in have been using is 50% pro-mix; 35% perlite; 15% vermiculite. my problem with this recipe is that it never seems to dry out. i've got a 5gal. bucket that i pulled a plant over a month ago and the soil is still wet; and, i'm in iowa and my in house humidity varies from 10% to 30%. thanks if allowed i'd like to ask another question. i have an afghan seedling that has grown about an inch and 1/4 and has stopped at that height for at least one week. it has one cotyledon. it's planted in a mix of 2/3 perlite and 1/3 promix. it's been getting the advised lumens 24/7; and, very , very dilute nutients when watered. thanks
