Soil after harvesting

Discussion in 'First Time Marijuana Growers' started by sleepylauren, Jan 2, 2020.

  1. Hello, I am a new grower here and I have a question I can’t find an answer to anywhere. After the plants have been harvested and you’re getting ready to plant a new batch what do you do with the old soil? Does it just get tossed?

If it is organic you can reuse, if you used bottle nuts then probably no, but you could

  3. You can reamend soil regardless to growing organically or with bottled nutes. . Zett66 obviously doesnt spend much time in the organic section of grasscity. Many of us reamend our soils. Ive been using the same soil for years and it only gets better

Yes i did. The op asked if it just gets tossed and you replied in the original post before you edited it "yes if its organic, if you use bottle nutes then probably no, but you could". Many of us organic growers reuse our soils. Your post was very clear with what you were claiming but you're wrong about organic soils.

You changed what you said in your edit but your original post was wrong. Now that its fixed i agree.

  7. Oh I get it now, I though he asked if you can reuse and not just if he tosses it out, sorry about that...Ill blame it on early morning.

  8. So i guess the jokes on you. Don't be so quick with your temper bro. That was totally uneceasary

  9. Yes, again, sorry about that.
got some crap going on and should concentrate more and not be so quick in responding, especially in such way after not reading correctly.

  10. Compost it and use it the following yr!

  11. I toss my old soil in the garden outside. When I was in college I threw it out in garbage bags. :confused_2:

  12. Thanks for all the responses y’all. Any tips on how to re amend the soil? I have been using coco coir with dry amendments. I just finished my first complete grow.

  13. You asked about soil, not coco. Lol this is a confusing thread. That would be a subject for the coco guys. Im a soil grower. Coco is considered to be a soilless medium, meaning that it is not soil.
