I'm starting my first sea of green setup and I was wondering how old do the plants have to be before I can bend the tops over with some twist ties? Also, I've been reading a lot about this sog method and I'm a little confused exactly how to bend them over. Does anyone have a picture of video explaining this a little better?

Oh and I'm growing these from seeds.

  2. Uhh are you confusing scrog and sog? Generally in a sog, people dont use twist ties to lst. The idea of a sog is to have as many single cola plants in an area as possible. A common number is 4 p/sq ft. You dont really want much side branching. That is for a scrog where you use a screen and train the plants under it.

  3. oooooohhhhh! it's all starting to make sense now. thanks for clearing that up for me.

So what would be the smallest size container I can use? I'd like to use square containers.

  5. Go with six inch by six inch squares, you can fit four per sq ft. It works well. Then plant as many as you can under your lights effective footprint
