Im doing my first sog grow and at the moment I have one 600 watt HPS with a 4'x4' sun soaker hood. I was just wondering what number of plants would be recomended to be grown under one light. I read in a sticky u could do about 20 but i just want to make sure. I would like to do as many as possible with the one light i have already. Any recomendations?
I've heard of shooting for a light density of 30-50 Watt/ft2. at 50 W/ft2 that would give you about 12 ft2 of growing space. I assume you could have one cola/plant per foot squared.
rule of thumb is 100w per plant. some people say 50, some say 200. I grow 4 under 400, if it matters to ya.
