  1. So in effect.. It is the closed border mentality of Swedens neighbor countries that caused the collapse of Sweden. And War. Not Open borders. What would you have done?

War must stop. And it starts with withdrawing troops from other countries that can sort their own issues out.. and sticking to self defense only.

  2. we have taken in hundreds of thousands.
You could certainly make the case that a great deal came from syria, but that certainly isn't a conflict the United States started was it? I thought it was a civil war.
And I don't think we have anything going on in somolia either do we?
So that leaves afghanistan which yes, we are obviously involved in.

according to Europe's refugee and migrant crisis in 2016. In numbers

"more than half come from afghanistan, somolia and syria" So thats 2 you really cant blame the US for, unless I missed something in somolia. Also, one of the other larger nations they come from is nigeria, which again, we have nothing to do with.
While I don't want to discount the impact that the war in afghanistan has had on this, because obviously its had an effect, it certainly isn't all because of americas overseas wars, way less than half, probably even less than 1/3. I just think your anger is a little misplaced in this area for sure.

  3. wait, so you are saying that swedens issues are the result of the countries around it, not what the country is doing itself? Thats some pretty twisted "logic".

  4. Can you restate this paragraph using different wording? So that I can get a more well-rounded view of what you mean. It sounded like nonsense at first, but then I figured you were trying to back your precious point. I guess what I mean is, he asked you if you agreed with him and you did not give a clear answer, and I just wanted you to restate it in a different way if you could

    Thanks

  5. First of all, I have to disagree with her last point in the comment you mentioned. Her point implies that people should let immoral and harmful things continue in other countries (and stand idly in the name of "defense." That's wrong. Sometimes love for another person (or country full of people, in this instance) is fierce and uncomfortable. But if they are in danger then it's the right thing to do.
As in, yes there are terrible wars going on, and we all want them to stop - of course we do. But, if countries that are trying to protect the freedom from other tyrannical governments stop helping those people in the name of letting them fight their own wars, it is only selfish and not loving toward those under tyranny. And we're called to loving the oppressed and giving real justice

  6. Second, what you've said "jman42028" is weird - it's not "twisted 'logic'". It is not "twisted" to think that the infrastructure of a country's finances can collapse due to that kind of influx of refugees, and the war-torn neighboring European countries that it relied on for sustenance of crops/goods and trade

  7. no that is not what I meant with that comment. What I meant was that it was twisted to think that sweden couldn't have done anything to help themselves, and that their issues were solely to blame on their neighbors, and had nothing to do with their policies.

  8. Orwell too. He made a totalitarian state look so drab.
