I know soccer isnt to popular here in the states, but if you got a favorite team or player post it here and argue with others as to why your team is the best. Personally im a Chelsea fan, with my favorite player being (of course) Didier Drogba. Michael Ballack is a close second though, along with Frank Lampard.
Real Madrid's my favorite team, Higuain's been having an amazing season -.- Right now my favorite team's pretty good because they spent a lot of money on it and Pellegrini's found a model that works -.-
ehh arsenal is questionable, but as long as it aint man u thats fine by me also idk if anyone heard about what Terry did...guys a scumbag
You should change this to "The REAL Football Thread" . It's the greatest sport in the world, if anyone can tell me why it isn't without sounding like an arrogant American, +rep will follow lol. This is the one sport that doesn't take any money to play, and pretty much anyone can pick up on the rules within ten minutes, plus it can be played in any environment. The World Cup is watched by more people than the Olympics, maybe not the opening ceremonies, but as a whole. Oh and Argentina FTFW WC10!
I love soccer and support Bayern Munich and Celtic FC. Those who say soccer (football) isn't a mans sport, need to watch "The Old Firm" derby.
i dont have any personal investment with any specific team seeing as how its kind of hard to follow soccer here but i am a fan of certain players. basically whoever is the best striker/ball handlers in the world and what team their on is who i root for. that said, im for real madrid cuz c. ronaldo is a muhfuckin killa on the pitch
what by your definition makes something a "womans sport"? Those guys are all in peak physical condition and id be willing to bet you couldnt make it through a week of their workouts. They run about 8 miles per game, and do far more in training. If your reasoning is that there is no tackling like in football, then would you also call basketball, baseball, golf, and track all womens sports too?
w-o-m-a-n sport throw some pads on and go out with the guys, thats a sport, running around kicking a white ball thats exciting and hard to do....
physical fitness is far more important in soccer then any of the other 4 major sports here in the us. so i guess being in good physical shape is feminine... oh ya btw, those dudes have crazy control over that ball, THAT is something very few people can do
You seem to be lost, let me help you out. The fact that you'd play football (like a woman) by clumsily kicking the ball (like a woman) and cowering every time the ball would come speeding towards you (like a woman) does not make it a woman's game. One more question: Since when is it manly to wear pads? Every time you call it soccer someone, somewhere drops dead -.-
