So you find out a younger sibling is a heavy smoker...

  1. This sibling is, say... twelve years old, and they yell you they've been smoking every day for a year.

    what is your reaction?

  2. 12? Kick her in the ovaries.

    But seriously, that's too young

  3. I am sorry but 12 is just too young IMO. I know everyone has had different experiences, but I believe that if its introduced, its done at the high school level, not the 6th grade.

What would I do? Take their weed and smoke it letting them know there will be plenty of time for that shit later.

  4. It would be hypocritical to say something imo. I would have a talk with the sibling just to give them some information, but i wouldnt pressure them to stop or anything like that.

  5. I don't think the hypocrite thing is even valid here. Maybe if the sibling was older but most certainly not 12.

  6. Tell them that smoking weed is fine, as long as it is done for the right reasons. And make sure they dont let their reefer habits supersede their academic responsibilities.

  7. I know a 12 year old who smokes

pull a joint 12 is the youngest I would go

well of course I don't know the 12 year old but if they are mature enough in your mind go ahead and blaze with them I started smoking at 12

  8. I would say that it's nice that they're thinking on their own, but tell them some hazards of blazing.

I've been smoking since I was 12. At such a young age, they'd still be impressionable. For me, Smoking at 12, led to cocaine at 15, and some shitty stuff. I would have them definitly wait until they're in HS, freshman at the earliest.

  9. Exactly my point.

  10. I'd tell him that you shouldn't get fucked up when your young becuase you really need to concentrate on building your skills... Not just skills like how to do a can can or something, but general life skills. 12-year olds can't afford to be getting fucked up on anything.

But, since your brother was already bitten by the bug, he knows what he's missing. So there probably isn't any turning back. Smoke with him and support healthier, responcible toking habits

  11. Hmm, this is a toughie..no one wants their younger sibling to get involved in the drug scene early, when they still have a taint of innocene left on them.

But really, what could I say? I started smoking on my 13th BDay

  12. I don't care if its hypocrytical, it's also intelligent (use reason people, don't buy into labels): 12 is too young.

Without saying too much to offend the posters on this board that started young, the VAST majority of people at age 12 are not responsible enough, nor educated enough, to start using marijuana.
