So...Who do you think Ron Paul will vote for this fall?

Discussion in 'Politics' started by stoned budda, Apr 24, 2012.

  1. I'm a Ron Paul guy. But its time for a reality check. Theres absolutely no way he can win, its impossible. I wish it weren't but thats the reality. The reason he stays in the race and its an important one is to change the message, to make the republican establishment see that the dynamics are changing. People are moving towards a more libertarian ideology and that the party if it is going to survive will also need to change.

Ron Paul has been a republican even though the party disrespects him and disagrees with him on some issues. But Dr. paul also realizes the reality of the political atmosphere. Like it or not for the immediate future we are a two party system. The reasons that he stay a republican is that although he doesn't agree with the party 100% of the time, he knows that out of the two parties, the republicans are the lesser of the two evils.

With the importance of this election (If Obama is re-elected he will not have the threat of re-election to keep him in check and according to his record he will further push his Faux socialist agenda and we will spiral further into debt maybe to the point of no return....seen greece lately?) whom do you think Ron Paul will cast his vote for?

As a betting man I would have to say he will vote for Romney. He knows its going to be Romney or Obama, one or the other. Romney while being far from perfect agrees more with Dr. Paul than Obama and Romney would be easier to keep in check.

With the importance of this election and for how much the good doctor cares about this country I can't imagine him waisting his vote and letting Obama further destroy this country.

But seriously, they stand for the same things. Romney wont touch the Affordable Care Act, will increase militarism abroad, and based on his rhetoric will likely instigate a trade war with China, just what we need during a recession/depression.

They'll both increase the deficit, pass more bogus laws and or executive orders into being, and they'll both concede more autonomy to the UN.

  3. Agreed but Romney at least will have to behave somewhat in order to get re-elected in 4 years, Obama does not, he can double down on his failures. That makes Mitt the twit the lesser of two evils. One of the two is going to be president, theres no conceivable way to prevent it.

Do you think Ron Paul will vote for himself and effectively let Obama win? Highly doubtful.

I notice Obama gets a hell of a lot more support from the corporations compared to Romney...So how does that factor with the Obamites.

  4. Himself, have faith my man. You just never know.

  5. Faith is for religion....theres no possible way, mathematically or otherwise that he will get the nomination or that even if he doesn't get it that there is enough support to elect him POTUS. As I said I am a Ron Paul supporter but I'm not a blind idiot and neither is he.

He is not going to risk Obama getting re-elected by voting for himself. In fact, I bet in exchange for a prime time speaking engagement at the convention he will actual endorse Romney.

  6. You'll have to worry about the same things being doubled down on by Romney if he were to be reelected for 2016.

At least with Obama he wouldn't have much in the way of allies in the legislative branch and you wouldn't have to worry about a reelection for the lesser of two evils.

When the faux recovery implodes, we have to make sure the right people get the blame. A phony conservative is exactly who the powers that be would love to have in office, thus the people are able to be sold on more collectivism. As Romney has already conceded the moral high ground to progressive ideals, it'll be spun that he did too little too late to save America, when it's really a structural problem and not a leadership problem.

  7. Republicans are the lesser of the two evils.....?

    Warren G Harding 1920.

I hate those premature questions. Kind of arrogant even.

  10. I agree with this thinking. Also, the rhetoric Obama has to live up to, but won't, is way worse than what Romney will have to live up to, but won't.

Ron Paul has always voted for himself... that's kind of his thing.

  11. In this case....yes. Ron Paul is a republican, why?
Because as a smart man he sees that for now we have a two party system in this country, and he chose the party that was the lesser of two evils. If Dr. Paul doesn't realize this then why has he remained a republican and not completely switched over to a card carrying libertarian?

I'm not endorsing either party. But I'll say it again, at this point in time, with the delegate numbers that Ron Paul has, and Romney has theres no way that Ron Paul can win, its mathematically impossible, Theres no going to be a miracle where the majority of Americans will write his name in. Dr. Paul knows this.

Now with that being said, who do you think Ron Paul will vote for?

So far the only responses to that question have been to question the FACT that the choices will be Romney/obama, and whether or not the repubs are indeed the lesser of two evils. Apparently they are according to Ron Paul.

  12. Republicrats.... unite!!!

  13. Hmmm, explain to me how its premature to count out Ron Paul? Better yet explain to me a scenario in which he can secure the nomination or better still explain the scenario where he wins the presidency? Its not arrogance....its reality. Just because you don't like hearing it does not make it any less a fact.

I learned along time ago not to live my life chasing what ifs and maybes. I had hopes for Ron this time, donated money and everything. Even voted for him in the primary, but its not to be.

The race is only half way finished? He's been doing great with delegates in the past few weeks?

Warren G Harding went into the convention with the fewest delegate, walked out with the nomination. Wouldn't mind hearing it if it were absolutely fact he cannot win but its still on the table so therefore its premature, besides, it wouldnt be the end of this movement if he lost. :smoke:

He even won Iowa. I'm waiting to see what sort of impact he expects to make at the convention.

Enough of these trolls trying to controlled the election.

In.voting for Paul regardless.of if he is on the Republican ticket. Don't let fearmongering get to you.

The 2 party system must be deatroyed

  17. Uhh, yea, you go with that and ignore the reality that if you live in this country (and if you do the chances are your not moving out based on an election) Romney or Obama will be your president.

Hmm, how am I troll, because I put forth a fact of reality? A fact that you don't want to hear? Thats right be a good sheeple and put your head back in the sand. I didn't ask who you were voting for.

I agree the two party system must be destroyed, but do you have a plan to that by November?

You can't start a third party at the top, it needs to start at the bottom otherwise the two parties will crush it. Ron Paul even if he won would be completely ineffective due to the two parties holding the power of congress.

Its a fact that it will be either Obama or Romney in Noveember and we must choose from the two.

If you can prove to me theres a way for Ron to win i'll listen, but even if he won every primary from here on out it would still not gt him the nomination nor the presidency.

  18. Bums will no longer ask for change. They'll ask for Ron Paul!

Why you going around spreading rumors that the race is mathematically over for RP to win when thats not the case?

Do you know how a state caucus works? Do you know that the delegates from caucus' are not represented in the straw poll and RP has done well at many of the state caucuses? Im not saying hes going to win, or even that its likely.. but to spread false information that RP cannot win even if he got all the remaining delegates is just incorrect.

Spread info like that and people are bound to not take your word seriously.

  20. Yeah, not just based on this election, but for a lot of other reasons.

I be like, "adios mutha fucka".
