So when do you guys call it quits on a seed batch?

  1. Alrighty, I've read about every post I could find on germination. Seems to pretty much be a broken record. PT, Dis water, warm dark place and wait for pop.

I got some chronic seeds from WeedFarmer, so I assume they're quality ones. Placed em in paper towel, wrapped in tinfoil, put on top of a warm place and waited.

Out of 10 only 3 popped and that was after 7days of being in the paper towel. So at that point I took the 3 and put em in rockwool cubes under a CFL... I then also 'scuffed' the seeds that didnt pop using a cig box lined with sandpaper (read that helps with hard to pop ones)

Now at 3 days after that point I have 0 popped and the 3 I put in RW cubes havent moved at all...taproot is still same length, no growth, etc.

After that fine summary, here's what I'm wondering:

#1 is my main concern, as I thought once you saw a taproot you were pretty much good to go....

1: For the RW cubes, any idea what I might have done wrong? They're moist, in a tupperware container with the lid on and under lights. Should I have waited and kept them in the dark?? Does the light have a negative affect on the taproot? I had read quite a few where peeps were putting the seeds directly into the RW cube and under lights...so I suspect that just because I waited for the taproot prior to the lights, it would be close to the same thing...?

2: For the seeds that havent popped - how long do ya guys usually give em before ya just throw the whole batch in the trash? Today will be the 10th day these things have been in the warm, moist, dark paper towel. Thinking today is the day.

  2. lol i have physically broke a seed open and it grew and is now 2 feet tall outdoor :D

  3. I to the paper towel method, seal it up in a small tupperwear container and stick it in my closet. i have had good success with it
