  2. I am pretty good at geography but I don't know where yay area is. After the plant is ripe you want to take the buds off the plant. I like to work with smaller pieces so I usually will work with one branch at a time. Cut off the branch at the node [juncture where the leaves meet]. Then trim off all the big fan leaves and any leaves that don't have the THC resin on them. The amount of leaves you take off is all your preference. Connoisseurs usually remove all leaf that is not bud.

Then one you have your manicured product, hang it by the stem, upside down, in a cool, dry dark, well ventilated closet. This is the drying period which should last between 1-2 weeks and is dependent on humidity. It is important that drying is not done too quickly which makes for a dry weird taste, and not done to slowly which could invite mold.

Once the stems are dry enough to break/crack, they are ready to be removed from the stem. Remove your dried buds from the stem by puling it off between your fingers from stem tip to bud tip. Put the buds in a jar and now you are at the curing stage. Open the jar 1-2 times per day to air them out and do this for 2 weeks or so.

  3. yay area? Another American who doesn´t realise that 94% of the world´s population live OUTSIDE the US.

My girls dry in my shed in 5 to 7 days, I cure them in airtight containers for at least 30 days, the longer the better really. Properly cured bud will keep indefinitely in an airtight container. Just don´t freeze it.

  4. I'm guessing he meant bay area, as in San Francisco Bay area. But who knows.

Spanish, I've been freezing for years with no problems. In fact, it can keep the bud super fresh for more than a year. I do wrap it in multiple layers of thick ziploc bags.

  5. yes i mean the bay area, in california. thanks this has really helped!
