I've been saving up to get my equipment to start making music. I've been thinking about several items, yet I'd like to hear some opinions from you all; So I'm thinking about getting; MacBook Pro; 8GB Ram upgrade M-Audio Axiom Pro 61-key (Still indecisive though, any opinions on better keyboards would be great) Propellerhead Reason 5 (Used the software a little bit, Like the feel, I used v4 though) Akai MPD26 Performance Pad Controller (I know the keyboard I chose has some pads, but I'd like to have a controller dedicated strictly for that) With all of this, I'm looking at about $2000, yet I think that's pretty cheap for a decent home studio. Obviously, the biggest chunk of change is the Mac, but I think that will pay for itself in the long run. I really need to quit slacking and start getting on the ball if I plan on going to AIM (Atlanta Institute of Music) for Music Engineering and Music Production. Opinions are greatly appreciated.
