So, is there any proof that menthol is bad for your eyes?

Discussion in 'Apprentice Marijuana Consumption' started by RepentYeNbelievethegospel, Jun 4, 2009.

  1. Well, eyedrops like Rohto, that give your eyes that cool, burning, refreshing feeling, contain menthol. And i am fuly aware that many items on the store shelf contain menthol too, but i was wondering about its effect on your eyes or corneas specifically.

I have googled every part of the eyes along with menthol and a bunch of different ways of saying it and i can not find a source as to how and/or why menthol might be harmful to your eyes, I like that feeling that wakes you up, but sometimes my eyes just start to hurt, like a pressure, i dont know if that was due to the drops ingredients, but i figure someone here might have soem input, and i figured this was the appropriate section for questions.

SO> does menthol harm your eyes in any way?
and i dont want bullshit opinions, maybe something to back it up or some feedback at least, thanks in advance for replies.
