No, I went on a cruise over the summer from Ft. Lauderdale to Jamaica and bought some killer stuff there. The only thing they scan is your bag and you just walk through a medal detector when getting back on the ship. I just put it in my wallet and walked through with no problems . Being high on a cruise is awesome all the food is free! This was on an emerald cruise.
