So im conflicted ( Dealer-Customer Story)

    Hey community!

    So I work with my dealer at the supermarket. Shes real chill and Honestly good people. A couple days ago she bought me shoes because my work boots literally fell apart. She even made sure i got the air walks instead of the doofy bowling shoes i was gonna pick out and she fronted me weed, PLUS smokes blunts with me all the time. I payed her back the money for the weed and the shoes today. Shes honestly a friend of whom i trust somewhat.

    Well every week she calls out of work atleast once. I told her to stop doing that and last week she didnt. But Today, we got our checks together She drives me to my house I pay her for the shoes the weed she fronted and the weed i wanted to buy. Cut to maybe 6:00 pm Im at work and she calls in, im standing there when my supervisor gets the call. Shes pissed, my other supervisor says she might get suspended or fired if shes not under the union. So they ask me to cover her shift, I was pissed. I had to work her shift and my shift. 7 hrs when it was supposed to be 4. I needed the money anyway but she hasnt answered my calls and the only txt i got was about a half hr after i left she left my weed on my coffie table while i was at work.

    Well what should I do? Im scared for her. Im totally trying to defend her but what do ya'll think?

    dont let a friendship fuck up your job. youll still be friends if she gets fired and you keep clear of the situation, but if you lose your job you have no money to buy pot. friend or not she aint gonna give ya the shit for free.

    Can you please re read what i wrote carefully, Where in that entire paragraph does it say I was in any danger of losing my job? Your lecturing me about losing my job. Dude im scared shes gonna lose HER job. Then i wont be getting weed because she will be broke. I dont see where there was any confusion but ok........ btw her calling out has nothing to do with me.

    Tell her how you feel. Find out why she calls out all the time, obviously theres a greater reason, she doesnt care about the job, doesnt need the money, isnt concerned about being fired, etc..
    Stay clear of the situation, do not make comments that can get you involved, I go through the same thing quite often as I smoke with some of my employees, as I am their store manager. Sometimes I have to fire them, or some of my other managers have to fire people, with whom I've smoked with, sold to, bought from, etc. If you are not involved you won't be thrown under the bus.

    I just realized that isn't exactly pertinent to your situation....

    Obviously your chill, but if you see your employees fuckin up ,especially ones you like do you try to talk to them and help them out? Or do you just wham bam your fired.



    Edit:To the last two posters. A. Shes an overweight puerto rican lesbian B. Ive told her this many times before, It dont motivate. I aint tony fuckin robbins up in here.

    im the kind of person that i like to talk to someone to find out WHY.
    from my experience i know that the more i care the more they care.
    if i know about their life and their situations and their mentality i can generally find a compromise to most situations, especially with those who smoke... obviously we have a greater connection.
    but some, some you just cant force anything upon. some dont have values within work ethic, and pride in your work. some people there is no reasoning with, and no getting through to. this is the whole concept of humanity, to each, their own.

    In this world, its hard to find people you can trust that will get your back. I think her clothing me was the best thing any friend of mine did for me. I'm just trying to get her to work as hard as I do. She complains she dont make as much as me, well its because I put in a good 32 hr week and she calls out.

    all you can do is tell her that.

    she has to feel motivated on her own. Other than that, you cant really do anything except point out why she makes less..

    she probably doesnt like her job and doesnt really care anyways

    I was so pissed today I was literally slamming the grocery carts together.(I was outside) I hate my job everyone hates their jobs. I still go, you do to im assuming.

    You wouldnt just not show up. The point im making is, its not even acceptable to state that she doesnt like her job. Although a valid point and argument your really just preaching to the choir. Or playing to an empty house. Either or It seems like if more people in my life took my advice they could avoid trouble. but I guess you really cant change how a person acts can you?

    See what the deal is man.Maybe there is a reason she is missing work.Tell her she might lose her job if she keeps it up.Nothing else you can do but look out for her.If she loses her job thats her problem.You can still be friends and buy from her.

    acutally i have not shown up a few times.my job is worse than yours man..no joke.

    she just has issues with something thats reflecting out.
    i bet shes battling with accepting herself, since shes lesbian right? i too have a lesbian dyke friend..she has the most emotional issues ive ever seen anyone have. its like a constant battle within themselves and its hard for them to stay stable.
    to the point where it gets on my nerves and i just avoid it now..
    i tried, soo she has to figure that shit out on her own.

    right now im working at ups. i konw zipcodes from all over the world....i sort packages
    load trucks sometimes.
    trust me dood, its shit. ive never felt more like a zombie in my life.

    i also do mechanic stuff and dj on the side.djing brings little money tho and its mostly for nightlife fun.

    im currently applying at other places. i cant take it anymore, haha yeah. civilized life sucks.
