so i just updated to the new version of kubuntu

    And now youtube doesn't work. also the desktop doesn't fit my screen. help!

    Coming from A Ubuntu user.

    1. Is flash reinstalled
    2. vidcard issue?

    the vid card is fine. I'm not sure how to install flash tho

    Try installing the package kubuntu-restricted-extras. Not only does it bring in flash, it brings in all sorts of multimedia functionality that otherwise is a pain in the ass to setup.

    Regarding the video resolution: What video card do you use? First guess is that something went pear-shaped during the upgrade and a driver got broken.

    I had the same problem when i was using kubuntu and that fixed it
