So today a buddy who owed me some $ received some seeds that he ordered online. I told him I would just take the seeds in lieu of payment.

He gave me 4 Skunk seeds and 4 white widow. All are "guaranteed" female and to germinate (which i found funny because on the back of the package it says not to germinate.)

Well after my buddy gave me the seeds I met up with some friends and went to the indian casino. won $400 on black jack and walked away!

So BEFORE I won the money I was planning on following this guide to the T:

If you havent seen the book it basically shows you how to grow what im guessing to be pretty dank buds for under 100 bucks. I figured that the more simple my first grow op the better my chances of success. I believe that the best way of learning something is to jump in head first, with a basic understanding (im not saying don't read and/or listen to people who have actually done it).

So here is my question for the day. What item of a grow op is the most important? Is it lighting, or is it making sure the plant has enough oxygen? Is it plant food and good soil? I have $400 in my pocket and TONS of garden stores around me. I haven't bought anything yet.

Im so stoked to get these plants started, but I want to make sure I give them the best chance at survival and peak return. Another buddy of mine is growing at the same time as me with the same seeds, and i have to beat him in final weight and dankness.

  2. I don´t think anyone can guarantee a seed will germinate - it must be given the right conditions and the vendor has no control over that.

You must decide if you are to be an indoor or outdoor grower. Then go read that book.

  3. a good lighting setup ( i prefer mh or hps(mh for vegatative)) but that comes along with ballasts which can be pretty pricey depending on wattage. if you want to go something cheap i think brinks has a 15,000 lumen mogul based cfl light at walmart that is very cheap, and you can just go to home depot or lowes and pick up a mogul base to medium based socket adaptor.

soil is also very important next to keeping the temperature at constants and humidty, how many times you water.

the list goes on just continue reading up and rsearching. im also new at this but i helped grow a friend of mines plant with him. which turned out to be beautiful might i add.

  4. I think that all main aspects of the grow are the most important: ventilation, lights, soil/food, and the space you have to do it in. In order to tell you anything, we will probably have to understand what your space is and how big you plan on making your grow.
